most basic is to find a place (usually lower level monsters) you can handle by yourself so you get all the drops for yourself and dont have to share the loot.

usually getting all of lower level stuff is better than a share of better loot

Funny you didn't find anything...

Anyway, farming is the common word for going somewhere and killing alot of enemies thereafter farming all the loot, which is where the term comes from. Farming can be done with other people or with henchies, but since this is hardly profitable, most see farming as meaning you go ALL alone and kill enemies. This would sound impossible to the common newbie (no shame in being that), but with the right build it's pretty simple. The most used is the Mo/W but it can be done with almost any class combined with a monk. The main problem is that you have to get some specific skills for it to work. Personally, I'm a W/Mo with some attacking and healing skills, the elite skill being Healing Hands. This is a skill you can only aquire in the Ring of Fire Islands, which is the last place you go in the game. Apart from that, you have to be level 20 and have some decent armor and energy, together with game experience to become a farmer. But don't fear! There're numberous guides on these forums that tell you how to do it.

There's no specific place that is "the best", but my personal favourite is griffon farming, which takes place just outside Augury Rock. I can take pretty much 20 (max) griffons and minotaurs at once and still be alive to steal all the stuff. Good farmers can get around 2K per run, which takes no more than 5-8 minutes.

So it's profitable and highly desirable if you want loot and cash in this game. Some think it's a waste of time since they think the game should be played not exploited just for money and items. But everyone has their opinion.
